Method 1: ** Transferring from a DISC CD to your host MPEIX system:

NOTE: The Omnidex software cd is not intended to be used in HP3000 cd drive. It uses long directory and file names that neither the MPE nor Posix shell can translate well. Place the cd in a PC cd drive.

1. From the PC open a DOS window.
2. From the dos window switch to your PC CD drive (example - R:)
3. Change your directory to the MPEIX_Server directory. (example - cd MPEIX_Server)
4. From the dos window run ftp.

R:>ftp
ftp> open your_hp3000_host <-- Your MPE system's 'NODE' name.
ftp> username: ???? (example - manager.sys)
ftp> password: ????
ftp> binary
ftp> put r:\MPEIX_Server\odx30805 odx30805.PUB.SYS;code=2501;rec=128,,f,binary
ftp> bye

4. Log on to the HP3000 host machine as MANAGER.SYS.
5. Do the below 'file' and 'restore' commands. Afterwards proceed with the normal installation instructions. See the MPE install guide in the MPEIX_Server directory for further assistance.

:FILE DISCTAPE=odx30805.PUB.SYS;DEV=DISC
:RESTORE *DISCTAPE;SETUP@.PUB.DISC@;LOCAL;SHOW << see install guide >>

6. Review the install guides provided in the MPEIX_Server directory for further assistance.
