When an application is first prototyped, Omnidex is quite easy to install. Most applications use two index types - the Omnidex Index and the QuickText Index. Most applications do not initially require changing the options or using special-purpose index types; however, as the application is more fully developed, the advanced index types and options are often valuable.
Omnidex provides index types for general purpose indexing as well as textual indexing. Omnidex also provides Omnidex also provides options that control case sensitivity, Omnidex also provides Index Groups, which combine multiple indexes into one. This allows the data to be automatically searched across multiple columns, even when those columns exist in multiple tables. This powerful feature can bring tremendous flexibility and speed to an application.
