Introduction to Omnidex Indexing

AutoComplete

AutoComplete is a feature of Omnidex that allows users to select choices from pulldown lists, as seen in many applications on the Internet. Omnidex additionally provides counts beside each choice, and can optionally order the choices by popularity. This allows users to select their search terms with an intelligent understanding of the data.

AutoComplete works with both textual and non-textual data. With textual data, such as company names or description fields, individual words can be presented. With non-textual data, such as state or postal code fields, whole values can be presented. In both cases, as more letters are typed, the choices can continue to narrow until the user chooses their search term.
