-Omnidex Standalone Tables may also be paired with an Offset Index. ​ An Offset Index records the offset for each row in a file, and is useful when there is compressed or variable-length records in a file.  If the option COMPRESSION=OFF is used when the Omnidex Standalone Table is created, no Offset Index will be created as it is not needed.
