Before You Begin

Before beginning the installation, verify the password for the
root user, as well as the following information:

If you are installing the Oracle driver, you must provide:

• The name of the Oracle home directory
• The Oracle System Identifier (SID) for the database or Oracle system you want to enhance with Omnidex
• The Oracle version you are using

If you are installing the INFORMIX RDBMS driver, you must provide:

• The full path and name of the INFORMIX RDBMS libraries and home directory
• The version of INFORMIX you are running

When you have this information, you can begin the installation process, as described in the next four steps.
