Before You Begin

Before beginning the installation, obtain the password for the
root user, as well as the following information.

If you are installing the Oracle driver, you must provide:

• The name of the Oracle home directory
• The Oracle System Identifier (SID) for the database or Oracle system you want to enhance with Omnidex
• The Oracle version you are using

If you are installing the DB2 driver, you must provide:

• The name of the DB2 home directory
• The DB2 Instance of the database you want to enhance with Omnidex

When you have this information, you can begin the installation process, as described in the next four steps.
