Now that you have created a user and directory for the Omnidex
software, you can restore it from the tape you received.
1. Mount the software medium on the appropriate device.
2. Login as the user you created in Step
1:
login: omnidex
Password: omnidex
If this is the first time you have accessed this user, you
will be required to enter in passwords.
3. To begin installing the Omnidex software, invoke tar,
specifying the location of the Omnidex installation tape.
tar -xvf tapedevice
For example:
tar -xvf /dev/rmt0
