Omnidex is fully integratable with many third party container application through the Omnidex ODBC Gateway Interface. An Omnidex ODBC data source is required for this communication to take place. Please see Prerequisites before beginning. The first step in integrating Omnidex any third party ODBC compliant application is to use the Omnidex utility DSEDIT, to create an Omnidex ODBC data source that points to the Omnidex Environment Catalog on the server. The type of data source required, Generic, USER or SYSTEM, will vary depending on the container applications requirements. Omnidex supports all three types. See DSEDIT for more information about creating a data source.
