Omnidex 4.5 (October 2008)

Performance on 64-bit Operating Systems

Omnidex 4.5 provides substantial performance gains due to native support for 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows, Linux and HP-UX. The entire Omnidex product was enhanced to take full advantage of 64-bit platforms, resulting in significant performance gains without requiring any changes to the application.

Support for Real-Time Statistics

Omnidex 4.5 improves the optimization of queries through the maintenance of real-time statistics, as well as support for a traditional UPDATE STATISTCS statement.

Support for New Versions of Oracle

Omnidex 4.5 gains support for Oracle 11g, with version 10 still supported.

Support for MySQL

Omnidex 4.5 gains support for MySQL 5.0 on Microsoft Windows and Linux.
