Each new version of Omnidex brings a collection of improvements, including new features, increased performance, and bug fixes. Here are the main features and enhancements in this release of Omnidex:
The new Omnidex Network Services is now used by default, rather than the older OdxNet Network Services. This represents a significant rewrite of the networking services layer of Omnidex
Omnidex will now automatically create indexing logs for every UPDATE INDEXES command. These logs are located alongside the index files in a 'logs' subdirectory.
Several improvements were made to the performance of connections and disconnections.
The PowerSearch feature is now available in QUALIFY statements as well as SELECT statements, both through a POWERSEARCH option to the QUALIFY statement, and also through a POWERSEARCH option in the CREATE ENVIRONMENT statement.
Omnidex now supports the use of the SAMPLE function in Omnidex Grids. The SAMPLE functions allows SELECT statements to be limited to a certain number of rows per group, such as retrieving the oldest individual within a household.
A more detailed release history of these versions is also available, showing the individual patches and release dates.
